Boaz BaiLin He, better known as “BaiLin.” 

Graduated from New York City College of Technology, with a major in Entertainment Technology, concentrating in both audio and show control.

Boaz was first interested in audio at his church. Then start his academic journey at Citytech. During his time at City Tech, he had the opportunity to work on system design and work on the run crew for different live shows. System design used a variety of analog and modern digital mixers and stage boxes. Sound design and QLab programming.

For his senior project, he did a double-blind testing of two professional sound consoles. This test involves using Dante, Smaart, and Pro Tools.

His first exposure to show control was working on the crew for The Gravesend Inn Haunted Hotel. During Professor John Huntington’s show control class, he had the opportunity to work on different projects using Medialon Manager, and Conductor Pro to program the Weigl ProCommander to control animatronic characters.

Boaz has experience with different live, virtual, and hybrid shows. Later he also becomes an AV av integrator to get some different experiences in the entertainment industry.

My New David Geffen Hall

I'm feeling grateful that I can call this newly re-renovated concert hall, my new David Geffen Hall ! I only went to the David Geffen Hall once before the renovation for a concert from Nyack College School of Music . The concert took place at the Wu Tsai Theater , which is the main hall of David Geffen Hall. I intentionally pick a seat that's farther away so I can really listen to the acoustic. It was not bad, but there are some musical instruments I can not hear clearly. The view of the stage also seems a way from the audience. After the renovation, the view of the stage to every seat is definitely better. The stage has moved about 25 feet forward, and now there are sits behind the stage. The performers are now surrounded by audiences. The stage is now able to adapt to different performances. Smaart Measurement for My Headphones

My first sound class was in 2016 at New York City College of Technology, that was also the first time I buy an over-ear headphone for monitor and editing. I brought a HAS-10 from Lyx Pro . I brought it because I saw that they advertise it's a pair of monitor headphone. I did email Lyxpro for a frequency response chart of the headphone, but they never send that to me. So I was wondering if I could do a measurement of the headphone myself to find out the frequency response. During that time I just start to learn about audio, and I didn't hear about  transfer function . Not until 2017, I took the sound system class. That's the first time I hear about transfer function and  Smaart . In 2018 I took the Smaart fundamentals class. That's the time I learn how to do a frequency response measurement.
